Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been apart for so long, it’s hard to believe they’re ironing things out in court. However, a recent court decision in her favor might be an indicator that things are coming to an end.
There’s been an update in the famous former couple’s legal battles over their French winery, after a judge decided that the actress won’t have to produce various emails to her ex-husband’s legal team. Those representing her noted this as a “victory,” and even slammed Brad as being “out of bounds” as they try to reach a settlement related to their shared property. Read more about the court ruling below.

Judge Decides Angelina Jolie Does Not Have To Come Forward With Emails Amid Real Estate Battle With Brad Pitt
It's no secret that one of the world's most famous couples was the Salt actress and Oscar-winning actor. Not only were they considered beautiful to look at, but they accomplished a lot since marrying in 2014, continuing to progress their careers and becoming parents to six children.
In 2016, they filed for divorce and began the process, reportedly citing irreconcilable differences. However, the divorce ended up taking a long time, not getting settled until 2024 as they ironed out certain legal issues and their custody plan. However, one thing remains unresolved and unfinished, despite their moving on and Brad getting serious with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.
Over the last four years, the public has been hearing updates surrounding their ongoing legal battle over Château Miraval, which is a French winery they owned together. It was also the venue for their 2014 wedding. The F1 star ended up suing his ex-wife in 2022, claiming her selling it to an investment firm was unlawful.
Throughout their back-and-forth battle in court, his legal team attempted to get a judge to order Angelina to turn over 22 emails with "non-attorney" representatives, but earlier this week, they were turned down. Judge Cindy Pánuco ruled that the emails could remain private and decided they fell under "attorney-client privilege."

Angelina's Legal Team Says The Decision Was 'An Important Victory' As She Reportedly Prepares To Move To Europe
According to legal representatives for the Maria star, the decision not to release her private emails was anything but small. They consider it a large victory, as not only does it improve her case, but it also proves that her ex-husband is taking things too far.
"This is an important victory for Ms. Jolie," her legal team told USA Today. "The decision shows that Mr. Pitt was completely out of bounds when he sought access to obviously privileged documents."
"Mr. Pitt is getting nothing, zero," her attorney, Paul Murphy, continued.
"This is part of Mr. Pitt's pattern of demanding control over anything Angelina, including control over her communications with her own attorneys. We are extremely gratified that both the Court of Appeal and the trial court ultimately put a stop to it."
The timing of this ruling could indicate that the mom-of-six's alleged plans to leave California for Europe, plans she's reportedly been putting into place for years, are one step closer to going into place. Once the issues with the winery are settled and the youngest of the former pair's two children turns 18, America could be seeing less of Angelina as she moves on.
