Scarlett Johansson Photographed Filming 'The Exorcist' In NYC

The mom-of-two has been booked and busy over the last year, with a new Jurassic Park film, her directorial debut, and more. However, now she's taking on an entirely new, spooky project.

Scarlett will be starring in a new film adaptation of The Exorcist, one of the most classic horror films from 1973. Though there are a lot of details yet to be released about the new take, it's been put together that she'll be playing a mother, and her son is played by Hamnet star Jacobi Jupe.

This week, she was spotted filming scenes for the scary film in New York City alongside her other co-star, Chiwetel Ejiofor. She was papped near the film's trailers with long, unkempt blonde hair that went down to the middle of her chest, and seemingly had little to no makeup on, with her skin appearing bare. You can see the pictures of her on set here!

Fans React To Scarlett's Look & 'Bad Wig' On Social Media

After paparazzi pictures of the Nanny Diaries star and her co-stars on set went viral on social media, they quickly went viral. People had a lot to say about the upcoming adaptation of the film, but also about how different she looked from her usual glamorous self.

On platforms like Instagram, fans and other internet users shared their thoughts.

"Scarlett looks so tired and mad," commented a user.

"That's a pretty bad wig," wrote another. "They'd better fix that."

"Nothing scarier than that wig," joked a user, as another commented, "That wig needs an exorcist."

We'll be curious to see if film critics get a little more excited about the new rendition of the spooky movie, with numerous users commenting on how they feel no one should touch it. But with 'Scar Jo's' talent, perhaps it'll be better than they expected.
